Taster Events

We are currently hosting Life Events Diary and iKnow Church Taster Events in Dioceses around the country and we're receiving fantastic feedback from Churches attending.

The Life Events Diary is paid for by the Church of England’s Life Events Team and is provided free of charge to every church of the Church of England. We want to help churches in your Diocese to benefit fully from this software and we think this can be best delivered through a live event!

If you are interested in the Life Events Team and iKnow Church running an event in your Diocese then we have provided this area as information for you and a form below where you can register your interest.

Times: 10:30am registation, finishing at 3:00pm

Tom Pearson, from the Life Events Team, will cover the importance of follow up, relationship and engagement around the life event services and practical tips for churches to better engage with those coming to them for the life events services, and then introduce the Life Events Diary. The iKnow Church team will then take churches through a live demonstration of the Life Events Diary, followed by an insight into the wider iKnow Church product.

We provide opportunity during breaks and lunch to meet the team and ask questions to maximise your time with us.

Good administration enables good ministry. Tickets for our LED taster day went fast, with a waiting list of church administrators and parish clergy keen to know more about the Life Events Diary and associated software. The feedback has been excellent. We’ve set up a diocesan support group of parish administrators, several participants have agreed to share their experience with others, and we have invited the team back for further training.

David Primrose, Diocese of Lichfield

With humour and insight into parish life, Tom Pearson delivered a masterclass in why every parish should use the Life Events Diary to record their occasional offices.  He told us, we must not shy away from being present in people’s lives, and the Life Events Diary can help us achieve that – for free!  A demonstration of the online diary was well received and laid the ground work for a more in-depth look at iKnow Church.
Feedback from parishes on the day was all positive, and we are planning to capitalise on their interest with a follow-up event in July.  This is a product that can help our parishes.

Jayne Tarry, Diocese of Winchester
